Walnut Bread with Gorgonzola and Warren Pear Slices

4 Slices walnut bread
2 Tablespoons walnut oil or high quality olive oil
8 oz Gorgonzola cheese
2 small Warren pears cored and thinly sliced

Turn oven broiler on high. Arrange walnut bread slices on a baking sheet and brush with walnut oil. Thinly slice Gorgonzola and arrange on top of walnut bread, add pear slices slightly overlapping. Leave under the broiler for 5-7 minutes or until cheese begins to bubble slightly. Great served with a green salad for a quick, light meal. Other seasonal fruit can be substituted for pears such as apples, peaches, plums, figs, etc.
